Desmo Care is the international brand of YU-CE Medical, a family-founded medical device company established in Istanbul in 1983. For over four decades, we have manufactured surgical sutures in our own production facilities — from polymer extrusion to final sterilization. Our 35,000 m² manufacturing complex in Pendik, Istanbul houses ISO Class 100, 1000, and 10000 clean rooms where 300+ employees produce 11 distinct suture product lines. Every suture undergoes ethylene oxide sterilization and 100% quality inspection before reaching operating rooms in 50+ countries across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.
Our vertical integration — from raw polymer processing through braiding, coating, needle attachment, packaging, and sterilization — gives us complete control over product quality. We hold ISO 13485:2016 certification, CE marking under EU MDR 2017/745, and FDA registration under 21 CFR Part 820.

Since 1983, YU-CE Medical has manufactured surgical sutures in Istanbul, Turkey. What began as a single-product facility has grown into a comprehensive suture manufacturing operation producing absorbable sutures (PGA, PDO, PGCL, PLLA-PCL) and non-absorbable sutures (polypropylene, polyamide, silk, polyester, stainless steel) for global healthcare markets.
